acorn-leafy-boy
Acorn Leafy Boy

Affectionately named by the wonderful Sarah who converted my horsebox into my new mobile studio!

I fell in love with these little brown ceramic vases months ago, I wasn’t sure what I would put in them but I had to have them! I’ve reimagined the cherry blossom design I made last summer and added an autumnal twist with the acorns and colour changing leaves. The brown wire wrapped stems are a labour of love but i think they help bring the branches together so nicely so I’m not too mad about it 😂. Because of the way the leaves are created each set is completely different, featuring a different mix of colours on each leaf. I really do love these ones.

Choose beauty that never fades with a gorgeous vase of handmade glass flowers.

I individually handcraft every petal of each flower from molten glass in a 1200 degree flame. Once complete each stem is fired in a kiln to 'anneal', this strengthens the glass whilst cooling it. The whole process takes around 10 hours from glass rod to beautiful bloom. Checkout the listing video to see a little more of the process.

Each glass flower stem measures approximately 20cm long, with the heads of the flowers varying from 2cm-3cm depending on the style and design. Every flower is individually handmade, using stainless steel wire and molten glass. Each petal is added, one at a time, shaping the glass to create the perfect bloom before placing it into a kiln to anneal.

The stems are stainless steel, please do not attempt to trim the stems without sharp wire cutters, else the vibrations from cutting with insufficient tools may damage the petals. Please also refrain from bending or shaping the wire, this can cause the glass within the head of the flower to move causing cracks in the glass to occur.

Each glass flower is individually wrapped and secured in eco-friendly packaging.

Each product is made to order but will be a fair representation of the product listed.

Free worldwide tracked shipping on all orders.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0629/7062/6273/files/theglassflorist-acorn-leafy-boy-acorn-leafy-boy-the-glass-florist-handmade-1261711584.jpg?v=1791551317
