Ladybug flower

The largest flower in my entire range so far. these beauties have three layers of petals in beautiful bold summer colours, a speckled centre that coordinates oh-so-beautiful. And each on is completed with a cute little ladybird.

I individually handcraft every petal of each flower from molten glass in a 1200 degree flame. Once complete each stem is fired in a kiln to 'anneal', this strengthens the glass whilst cooling it. The whole process takes around 10 hours from glass rod to beautiful bloom. Checkout the listing video to see a little more of the process.

Each glass flower stem measures approximately 20cm (8”) long as standard but you can choose a different length up to 30cm (12”) by noting it in the personalisation box. The size of the bee is approximately 2cm. Due to the nature of the process the size they can be made is limited. If you’re looking for larger flowers please contact me to discuss a custom creation.

The stems are stainless steel, please do not attempt to trim the stems without sharp wire cutters, else the vibrations from cutting with insufficient tools may damage the petals. Please also refrain from bending or shaping the wire, this can cause the glass within the head of the flower to move causing cracks in the glass to occur.
